How to place and order

Shopping at Asian Food Online is safe, secure, and easy. To place an order at our store, just follow these steps:

Locate the Products You Wish to Purchase
Asian Food Online currently carries a wide range of products from various Asian and European countries, which is organised by category and country. You can quick browse each category by selecting from the "Search by Category" menu on the left side of each page or on the “Online Shopping page”. You can also quick search by country on the left side of each page or on the “Online shopping page”.

Add Items to your "Shopping Cart"
Once you have located a product you wish to purchase, choose the quantity you wish to purchase and press the "Add to Cart" button to place it in your "Shopping Cart".

To add more items to your cart, press the "Continue Shopping" button. You can add items, adjust the quantity of items, or remove items from your cart at any time by pressing the "View Cart" button on the top left side of each page.

Placing Your Order "Checking Out"
When you are ready to place your order, press the "View Cart" button located on the top left side of each page. Then, press the "Checkout" button on the bottom of the page, after this you will then be prompted for your personal details as well as shipping details.

At this page, press the “make payment” button to enter into our secure payment section. In the secure payment section, you select your payment method and enter your details as required.

Order Confirmation and Tracking
After submitting your order you will be presented with a confirmation page of your order with an order number which you can use as a reference for your order with us. An e-mail with the same information will also be sent to the e-mail address provided on your order form.

  • Orders placed on weekend will be processed on Monday morning

You can use our shopping cart to view our products, place your order, and make payment.

Processing and Shipping

We process all orders within 48 hours and ship them out as soon as possible. Our products are shipped in secure cardboard boxes and handled by proved courier companies. This means you should receive your order within 2-4 working days after processing anywhere in New Zealand. Allow an extra day for rural delivery.

Freight and Packaging Costs

Freight charges are a function of product weights, cubic volume and freight destination; we automatically calculate the freight costs in our secure shopping area for you in order to make your shopping experience easier.

To check the cost of shipping, click on the “checkout button” on the “shopping cart” page. This will take you to the customer details page, where you can find the various rates for shipping in the drop down menu within the contact details area.

Hint: We urge you to experiment with different weight thresholds to achieve the best value for your shipping dollar by adding or subtracting items from your shopping cart and viewing the real-time changes in shipping costs that occur.

We at Asian Food Online believe we have chosen the best shipping rates for our customers, however if you wish to organise your own pick up then contact one of our customer service representatives with all the details and we will accordingly refund the entire freight portion.

Refund/Return and Replacement Policy

We take pride in sourcing high quality products from all around the world and locally. We guarantee the quality and value of our products. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the product, please contact our customer services department and we will either:

  • Replace the product
  • Exchange it for a product of the same value; or
  • the total amount of the product will be refunded

This is provided that the goods are returned within 14 days of receipt, after instructions from a customer service representative. The cost of return shipping shall be the responsibility of the customer. If the error is our fault we will happily refund the shipping costs on a case by case basis and either; exchange the product, issue store credit, or give a cash refund.

Stock Availability

Due to the volatile nature of the international food market we do not guarantee availability of all of our products and brands. We will make every effort to ensure we have the products you order in stock. Orders which are at least 90% complete will be shipped and the resultant shipping charges will be adjusted (lowered) as needed. We will advise you if certain products are out of stock. Out of stock items are not automatically back-ordered.

Substitution Policy

If you would like to have products substituted when the one you select is out of stock then please tick the “allow substitution box” in the customer information form under contact details. If the substitution is significantly different then we will get in contact with you and ask you if this is a suitable substitution.

Private Policy

Asian Food Warehouse is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers and using any information collected in a responsible manner. We collect details such as your first and last names, your delivery address, telephone number, and email address when you purchase our products. This information is used so we can contact you, let you know when your product has been dispatched, and keep you informed of any new products or specials. This information is never sold, traded, or shared with any third party. We will immediately remove you from our database if requested.

Pricing and Payment Policy

All prices stated are in NZ dollars and are inclusive of GST (Goods and Service Tax).
